In conjunction with the Ehlers Danlos Society's Global Learning Conference, and thanks to the wonderful generosity of our donors, the DEFY Foundation hosted the 3rd Vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Scientific Meeting on Saturday, August 3rd in Nashville, Tennessee. This meeting built on the discussions that were held at the 2nd Scientific Meeting in Amsterdam in May 2018, and offered an opportunity for more recent research to be shared. Topics included animal models of VEDS, medical management of the disease, medical and surgical surveillance and decision making, VEDS in children, identification of modifier genes, pregnancy and contraception, and registries and trials. Researchers and clinicians from across the United States and Europe participated in this exciting meeting and we look forward to continuing to support progress in VEDS research by bringing them together in collaboration!
